Colfax is a small and cozy historical town located just northeast of Auburn. It is a great place to live due to its convenient location surrounding highway 80, providing very easy access to Sacramento, Tahoe, or Reno. At an elevation of 2,425 ft, Colfax is perfectly situated below the fog and above the snow in the lower Sierra Nevada Mountains.
